1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Franchise Tycoon: Gridiron ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Game.
2. Description of Service
Franchise Tycoon: Gridiron is a browser-based football franchise management simulation game. The Game allows users to manage virtual football teams, participate in simulated seasons, and compete against other players.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Game for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to exploit bugs, cheats, or vulnerabilities
- Use automated scripts or bots
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other players
- Create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages
- Share your account with others
- Attempt to access other users' accounts
5. Virtual Currency and Items
The Game may include virtual currency (TYCO tokens) and virtual items. These have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for real money except through official game mechanisms if/when implemented.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue virtual currency and items at any time.
6. Draft Pick Trading Commitment
When trading draft picks for upcoming or future seasons, teams are required to prepay that season's operating fees into the league pool. This ensures teams remain committed to the league and cannot abandon after trading away future assets.
The prepaid fees cover facility maintenance, coach salaries, stadium operations, and salary cap obligations for the corresponding season. These fees are calculated based on your team's current facilities and coaching staff.
- Prepayment is required for each unique future season involved in a trade
- Once prepaid, fees are non-refundable and locked to that season
- Prepaid fees are displayed in your team's Special/Picks tab
- If you lack sufficient treasury funds, the trade will be blocked
This anti-abandonment mechanism protects the integrity of the league and ensures fair competition for all participants.
7. Intellectual Property
All content in the Game, including but not limited to graphics, logos, text, and software, is owned by Franchise Tycoon or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without express permission.
8. Disclaimers
THE GAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not responsible for any loss of data, virtual currency, or game progress.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Game.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-game notification.
